Mermaid

There is something quite amazing and moving to watch a child, your child, glide through the water with ease and confidence.

Especially when said child has taught herself through trial and error. I love the pure joy and excitement on her face when she swims back to the wall after jumping in the deep water.  The almost smug satisfaction on her little face when we tell her how proud of her we are.

From not taking her feet off the ground to jumping into the diving well in one summer.

Wonderful.
